Boing Boing: A Directory of Wonderful Things

Boing Boing: A Directory of Wonderful Things
I just saw this: "Billboard: Saying "like" makes you sound dumb This billboard advises you to stop using the word "like" as punctuation, on behalf of something called the Academy of Linguistic Awareness."

OK, call me pedantic, but the poster doesn't have quotation marks around 'like', it is actually saying: "Don't sound stupid, stop saying like". Which to me anyway, makes it sound like, they are like, saying stop saying like.

Kind of shooting themselved in the foot. Or I am being stupidly picky here?
